Exciting New Auction Items!

In addition to food and drink donations, we're also experiencing an overflow of generosity from those who have offered donations for the silent auction. By the way, turns out silent auction items make especially awesome GIFTS, because you can tell the recipient that part of the gift is knowing that all of the money spent on the item itself went to an incredible cause! Remember that if you can't make the event, you can STILL MAKE A BID if you get in touch with either Joe (joseph.c.schell@gmail.com) or Anna (mccart38@gmail.com) before March 6!

Check out some of these great new items that are NOW UP on our Silent Auction page:

- A one night getaway at the Mendocino Coast's most classy, eco-friendly inn, The Stanford Inn.

- Jewelry gift boxes from Otra Vez, and clothing gift certificates from Rockridge Rags.

- Yoga therapy with Laura Cornell.

- A full website design from a team of professionals.

- Landscape designs from all edibles and Ethos Landscaping.

- Haircut from Soaps Salon.

- Hip, hand-printed undies and tank tops featuring a Katie Ackerly original design.

AND MORE! Check it out.

Donations Starting to Pour In! (Literally!)

We are overwhelmed with everyone's generosity - it is truly refreshing to have so much support for this event, so thanks all! Knox Barrels will be providing delicious wine for the March 6 event (plus a couple of great auction items! Taste at the bar, bid at the auction ...), and Semifreddi's bakery will be providing fresh bread to go along with our bubbling hot baked ziti. Yummmmmm...

Be sure to keep checking up on our ever-growing list of silent auction items. Prices range from $15 upwards, so there's a little something for everyone. Get something for yourself or for friends and family! (It will make the gift just that much more awesome to be able to say that the money went to a great cause).

Remember: If you can't make it to the event, you can sponsor a friend/family member to go instead and/or call/email us (mccart38@gmail.com, jiggsschell@gmail.com) to put in a bid on an item at the auction and/or donate an item!

Entertainment Update!

Holy cats! We are so darn lucky to have such generous, talented friends. Looks like we've managed to recruit some incredible musical acts to play at the fundraiser event on March 6, including the extremely talented Justin Kanalakis and Blake Morse, both of whom you may already recognize/know/love from the band, Apple Pie Hopes. In addition, Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs from the LA/SF-based band, The Finches, will be playing at 6pm! WOOHOO! Check out this SF Weekly review of their album, Human Like A House.

Tell your friends. Tell your neighbors.

Also, another update will be posted soon with new auction items, including some Katie Ackerly-original-design incredibly hip screen-printed shirts and undergarments, garden designs, and shoes!

Welcome!

Stand With Haiti

Hi all! Welcome to the San Francisco Haiti Relief Fundraiser Blog.

In a effort to raise funds for Haitian Earthquake victims, we're throwing a fundraiser dinner on March 6 in San Francisco and an ongoing silent auction in an effort to raise our goal of $5,000 that we will donate to Partners in Health. To read more about how we chose this organization, what they are doing in Haiti, and why we think their efforts are more than worthy, check out the Cause page on this blog.

Save the date for March 6 to come join us on for an afternoon of live music, food, a silent auction, and much more. More on the event to come!

If you can't make the event we have options for you to be able to give online, or through the mail.

Please Contact Anna McCarthy or Joseph Schell if you have any questions.
